I first came upon the billiard scene when I was only 16 years old. I would just play pool with friends and socialize, but never actually looked at the game as a sport that required skill. For me it was just a fun thing to do. Then in came Jobou. Jobou recognized that I had a semi-natural talent for pool and instantly took me under his wing.
Being a girl, I was never paid much attention to as having the possibility for greatness at the game. But not to Jobou, to him it did not matter that I was a girl, he saw potential so he worked with me. He started working with my stance, claiming without that being correct the rest would be irrelevant. After he finally got me over the awkwardness of standing correctly at the table he started to teach me the mechanics of the game.
One-by-one he would point out differences in english, speeds, rails, distance… etc. Half the time I would only be partially listening because to me the game was also a fun way to socialize. Yet before I knew it I was competing at a level above most of the men in the pool halls, winning trophies and awards, and competing in tournaments.
Jobou’s knowledge of how to play pool is extensive and his patience for teaching beginners is endless. Most of all he has a passion for the game like no one else I know. Looking back at my many years playing pool I can honestly say that without his mentoring and teaching, I would not have become successful at the sport. I would have remained un-noticed, with untapped potential, and still only be playing for fun with friends on a Friday night.

Wow. I started playing pool again after many years away from the table. This book hit the nail on the head as to what my problem was and how to fix it. I feel so empowered after reading this book that I can’t wait to get to the pool hall this evening. This ebook is so well thought out and well written than I couldn’t stop reading it. I will read it again and again for the inspiration I need to continue to improve my pool game. Thanks Jobo! (reviewed within a month of purchase)

I just wanted to report back after reading Jobo’s book a few times and applying the principals explained in the book. I played pool last night against some experienced pool players and I was making some of the more difficult (for me anyway) corner shots without a problem. I did not make every single one but I made the majority of the shots. It also seemed like the more difficult the corner shot, the easier it was for me to apply the technique. Thanks again, Jobo, corner shots are not longer an issue for me.
